- Monthly or quarterly — what is the difference?
- Nothing in what arrives. Quarterly is NZ$14.80 a month, charged NZ$44.40 every three months; monthly is NZ$17.90, charged every month. Either way the parcel comes once a quarter, the first one packed as soon as you have paid, and you can switch between the two whenever you like — the change applies when the period you have paid for ends.
- When do the cards come?
- A parcel is packed once each quarter is paid — the first one, the welcome kit, once you subscribe, whether you pay monthly or quarterly. A pack of cards from the shop is packed once you buy it, unless you chose to put it in the next parcel. We do not promise a delivery date — the cards are printed in batches and posted from Auckland, and the post takes its own time. Outside New Zealand, allow seven to fourteen days for a parcel or a pack to arrive once it is posted.
- Can we choose which cards?
- No — and that is part of the experience. The Archive decides what goes in an envelope, the same way it decides what to file — starting with your recruit’s own returned artwork once that has been accepted. Duplicates are deliberate: a sighting only helps if more than one Noticer can recognise it, and a spare is the best thing a child can take to school.
- Can I buy more cards?
- Yes — by the pack of ten, from the shop in the app: the cards plus postage, posted when the pack is packed. There is room for three packs in each parcel, bought before it is packed.
- Can we stop?
- Any time. The letters run to the end of the month or quarter you have paid for. Anything already posted is yours to keep — the Society does not recall its correspondence. And if your child isn’t taken with it, there is the guarantee.
